MY DEEP LOVE FOR THE PerFORMING ARTS BEGAN AS EARLY AS THREE!
Ever since my first ballet class I knew I was meant to be a performer, and as I grew I consistently sought out opportunities to be in the spotlight. As a child I absolutely adored dance and theatre, especially when I was able to combine the two and bring a story to life on the stage. I trained with the Northeast Atlanta Ballet and danced in The Nutcracker throughout my childhood and in college, performing in nearly every role. My journey through the arts led me to pursue teaching so that I could pass on the same sense of joy and wonder to others.
I received a Bachelor of Science in Theatre Education from Columbus State University, and a Master of Arts in Theatre Education from Emerson College. During my education, I performed in the musical Diary of a Worm, a Spider and a Fly which toured in elementary schools across Georgia and Alabama. I also had the incredible experience of studying theatre and literature of the Italian Renaissance in Florence, Italy for one semester on a full scholarship. Additionally, I received the scholarship for top Theatre Education Student in my undergraduate program.
Prior to starting my own business, I was the Director of Education at Mosesian Center for the Arts, where I produced, directed, and choreographed for Watertown Children’s Theatre. I’ve also had the opportunity to work for Cambridge Public Schools, North End Music and Performing Arts Center, Jeannette Neill Dance Studio, Mini Movers Studio, and many others. Throughout my career I’ve had the pleasure of working on numerous theatre productions, each one special in their own way, but a few of my favorite past projects include Eurydice, A Chorus Line, The Laramie Project, Mamma Mia!, and Chicago.
